SMM – The Leading International Maritime Trade Fair
Every two years, Hamburg becomes the epicentre of the maritime world as SMM, the leading international trade fair for the maritime industry, brings together experts from across the globe. From 1 to 4 September 2026, more than 2,200 exhibitors will once again showcase their innovations to around 48,000 attendees from over 100 countries. Spanning 90,000 m² across twelve halls, the event will highlight cutting-edge technologies, sustainable solutions, and digital advancements shaping the future of shipping.
Under the theme “Driving the Maritime Transition”, SMM focuses on key industry priorities: maritime security, artificial intelligence, and decarbonisation. It also provides a platform for start-ups and actively supports young talent.
In addition to the exhibition, attendees can look forward to a high-calibre conference programme that highlights key future topics of the industry: the Maritime Future Summit on digital transformation, the Global Maritime Environmental Congress (gmec) on environmentally friendly solutions, the International Conference on Maritime Security & Defence (MS&D) and the Offshore Dialogue on the sustainable use of the seas.
